Morning Brief
Overnight & overseas
- Asia closed mixed. Nikkei +0.4% after BoJ minutes hinted at policy patience; Hang Seng -0.8% as property-sector debt headlines re-emerged. Yen back through 156/USD.
- Europe is opening green. Stoxx 600 +0.5%, led by miners (BHP, Anglo American) on a Goldman copper upgrade. German ZEW survey beat forecasts. Bund yields drift lower.
Three things to watch today
- NVDA — opens ahead of Wednesday's earnings. Options pricing in a 7.2% post-earnings move. Watch the $945 gamma wall — sustained move above could fuel a chase into the print.
- TSLA — robotaxi regulatory headlines out of California after the close Friday. Pre-market quoted +2.1%. The "yes if approved" tail is back in play; the "no if denied" tail just got fatter.
- XBI — biotech ETF coming off three consecutive higher closes. Watch the $94.50 breakout level — clean break sets up move to $99 in the near term, failure brings back the prior range.
Crypto check
- BTC-USD trading $61,400 overnight, range-bound between $60.2k support and $63.5k resistance for the third week running. Weekly close above $63.5k would change the character; below $60k flips bias short-term.
- ETH-USD outperforming, +2.8% on the week. ETF flows turned net positive Thursday for the first time since March. Worth monitoring rotation if BTC breaks above $63.5k.

- Wednesday: CPI (08:30 ET) — consensus 3.1% headline / 3.5% core. NVDA earnings (after close).
- Thursday: CSCO post-close, jobless claims, retail sales.
- Friday: Empire State manufacturing, Michigan sentiment prelim.
